“Water pump fault” can describe several different units in the same vehicle. Before arranging an electronics enquiry, establish whether the reported pump serves the engine, charge-air system, transmission or an electrified powertrain cooling circuit.
What the component does
HELLA describes electric coolant circulation pumps used in main or auxiliary circuits for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles. Depending on the application, they may cool the battery, power electronics, drive system or other components. More than one pump can be fitted. Integrated pump electronics also mean that the exact part and control arrangement matter; a similarly shaped housing is not a compatibility check.
