A charging connection that depends on holding or pushing the cable needs assessment. Do not wedge it into position or leave it supported by an improvised object to complete a session.
Describe the physical symptom
Note whether the problem follows one cable or one vehicle inlet. Record any latch message and visible damage from a safe external view. Stop using equipment that shows overheating, exposed parts or damage and follow its manufacturer’s instructions.
The charging equipment and vehicle inlet may need separate checks. Ask the provider which component should be assessed before posting a cable or booking vehicle work. The fact that charging begins briefly does not prove the electrical contact or locking arrangement remains sound during a full session.
