A charging session ending at a repeatable percentage can reflect an intended setting or a fault. Start by comparing the configured charge limit with the actual stopping point. Record both values rather than assuming that every vehicle should charge to 100 percent on every occasion.
Check the information already available
Save the vehicle’s message when the session ends, the charger status and whether the session is described as complete or interrupted. Note any schedule or location-specific setting shown in the vehicle or charging app. Use the handbook for your model; menu names and behaviour are not universal.
Look for a change in the pattern
Explain whether the stopping point is new, whether it occurs with different compatible charging equipment and whether a warning accompanies it. A setting that matches the ending percentage is a useful explanation to check, but it should not be used to dismiss an unrelated warning.
For a repair enquiry, include a short sequence of actual sessions with starting and ending percentages. Avoid repeatedly changing several settings at once: it makes the original behaviour harder to interpret. The workshop can then agree whether further charging-system diagnosis is needed.
