FlexRay start-up faults on an incomplete bench setup

FlexRay start-up depends on the network’s configured participants and timing. A removed controller may not behave normally on an incomplete test arrangement.

Interpreting the evidence

Before accepting a failed bench communication result, ask which supporting nodes and conditions the setup provides. Compare that with the intended test scope. A valid limited test can still be useful, but its limitations should be clear when deciding whether to repair the unit.

Keep this evidence

Include the controller identity and a description of the bench arrangement used.

Failure to join an incomplete network is not, on its own, proof of a defective module. Avoid improvised vehicle-network stimulation.

Speak to AXION

For CAN-bus and vehicle-network diagnostics, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
