A transmission warning following a fluid service needs the service details, not just the fault code. The correct fluid specification and procedure are transmission-specific. A warning does not automatically mean the TCU electronics require repair.
Request the service record
Keep the gearbox identification, fluid used, parts replaced and any level or temperature checks documented by the garage. Explain whether the vehicle shifted normally before the service and whether the warning appeared immediately or during the first longer journey.
Do not add fluid experimentally or run repeated adaptations to mask the complaint. The servicing workshop should assess the installation and procedure alongside diagnostic data. If the vehicle slips, loses drive or leaks, obtain advice before further use. Send the before-and-after report with any specialist enquiry so an electronics assessment is based on evidence. A controller can report an operating problem without being the component that caused it.
