Some output stages provide a scaled signal representing load current. Reading that signal as if it were the load supply can lead to an incorrect diagnosis of the driver.
Interpreting the evidence
Identify the device and the surrounding sense circuit before interpreting the voltage. Compare the reported value with an independent suitable current measurement during the same event. An offset, saturated reading or missing diagnostic condition needs investigation rather than an automatic module replacement.
Keep this evidence
Provide the driver identification, output load and how current was measured.
Scaling and fault indications are device-specific. A normal-looking sense voltage cannot establish the health of every part of the output circuit.
Speak to AXION
For ECU testing and component-level repair, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
