A precision shunt measurement uses a very small voltage. Resistance in the wrong part of the sensing connection can therefore introduce an error that is significant to the reported current.
How to narrow it down
A qualified electronics assessment should distinguish the high-current path from the measurement connections and inspect the original design. Previous repair work or damaged sensing tracks deserves attention when the reading changed after a component repair. Compare the reported current with suitable independent evidence under the approved procedure.
What to include with the fault report
Send the module identity and details of any work performed before the discrepancy appeared.
This is specialist circuit assessment, not an instruction to probe a live traction-battery assembly. Preserve the intended sensing layout and isolation.
Speak to AXION
For EV and hybrid diagnostic assessment, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.
