A changed clutch-pedal starting requirement needs assessment of the actual pedal and start-permission system. It should not be solved by defeating an interlock.
Describe the change
Record whether the symptom began after clutch, pedal or interior work. Note floor-mat obstruction through a safe visual check and whether normal clutch operation feels different. Keep any dashboard instruction visible in a photograph taken while stationary.
The workshop should compare the relevant input with mechanical travel and the manufacturer’s requirements. Do not bridge a switch to force starting. If clutch operation or vehicle control is affected, discuss safe transport. The useful distinction is whether the input is incorrectly recognised or the pedal itself cannot reach the intended operating position.
