A consistent first-attempt failure followed by a normal start is a useful sequence to document. It does not automatically mean the immobiliser or ECU is intermittently defective.
Specify the failed attempt
Did the first request produce no crank, normal cranking without firing, or a brief start followed by a stall? Record warnings and the time between attempts. Include whether the pattern follows overnight parking or every stop.
A technician needs that distinction before selecting tests. Avoid clearing codes between attempts or replacing parts based on the second attempt alone. If the vehicle is unsafe or unpredictable, arrange assessment rather than repeated road use. The verification should reproduce the original first-start condition, not simply demonstrate several successful starts after the system is already awake.
