A mechatronic assembly combines functions that may require different test methods. A report saying tested should explain whether it covered communication, electronics, valves, pressure behaviour or another defined area.

Interpreting the evidence

Compare the stated test coverage with the original vehicle symptom. If a fault occurs only under a specific temperature or operating load, establish whether that condition was represented. Further vehicle checks may still be needed even when the assessed functions pass.

Send the previous test report and the symptom that remains after refitting.

A limited bench result should not be presented as proof of the health of the complete gearbox or every mechatronic function.
