An occasional position error and a persistent incorrect location need different enquiries. Record whether the problem occurs in covered areas, after startup or throughout an open-road journey.
Keep the comparison relevant
State whether the map data is current through the supported service and whether the position eventually corrects. Include aerial, windscreen, roof or infotainment work. A phone map showing a different position is useful context, not a calibrated vehicle-system test.
Do not rely on navigation instructions when they conflict with road conditions. If the fault persists, the workshop should assess the relevant positioning information and equipment. Describe the error’s timing and repeatability rather than requesting a GPS module from a single screenshot.
