Matching connectors do not prove that two sensors have the same response or specification. An unsuitable replacement can produce plausible-looking values that still mislead the control system.
Verify identification before adaptation
Keep the old and new part numbers, supplier description and vehicle application. Ask the installer to confirm suitability from reliable information. Do not compensate with coding or calibration unless the correct procedure explicitly requires it for the correct part.
If the fault began after replacement, include both before-and-after readings and symptoms. A specialist should distinguish part compatibility from wiring or controller failure. Retaining the original sensor and documentation can be valuable when the physical installation looks correct but the reported values do not match the intended system.
