A visual inspection cannot establish every aspect of terminal contact quality. A connector may appear clean while its connection changes under temperature, vibration or load.
Record the actual test
Ask which electrical checks were performed and under what conditions. Mention previous connector repairs, harness tension and whether moving nearby components changes the symptom. Owners should not probe or spread terminals to test grip.
The workshop should use approved inspection and repair methods for the connector. Temporary improvement after unplugging is evidence of a change, not proof of a durable fix. An ECU enquiry should include that history so internal assessment is not separated from an unresolved vehicle-side connection that could recreate the same complaint after refitting.
