Not every wiring repair method is appropriate for every restraint circuit. The vehicle manufacturer may specify how a damaged section is repaired or require replacement of particular parts.
How to approach the assessment
Ask the responsible repairer which instructions apply to the identified harness. Do not twist wires together, fit bypass devices or probe deployment circuits as a test. An electronics enquiry should include the damage and work already performed so its scope is clear.
