Visible damage to one wire may not reveal every affected circuit. Report nesting, debris and other evidence without assuming that repairing the first obvious break completes the job.
Preserve the location record
Photograph accessible damage safely and note symptoms before further operation. Do not energise exposed or damaged wiring to see which component fails. A qualified technician should assess the surrounding harness using the correct repair information.
If a controller is suspected, include the known wiring damage in the enquiry. Internal electronics may have been affected, but vehicle-side repair must also be verified. A clear record helps separate direct harness faults from secondary module damage and avoids reconnecting repaired equipment to an unresolved circuit.
