Engine removal can disturb many connections and grounds. A new fault afterwards needs the work scope documented before an ECU is selected as the cause.
Keep the installation history
List harness, sensor and accessory changes and identify whether the replacement engine differs in any relevant specification. Preserve the first scan and describe which functions fail. Do not assume all original connectors imply the original configuration remains unchanged.
The installing workshop should assess the relevant connections and compatibility using vehicle-specific information. A specialist enquiry should include those findings rather than only a non-start description. Verification must address the actual post-installation complaint and distinguish a vehicle assembly issue from an internal controller defect.
