A digital sensor can produce an orderly waveform yet display an impossible measurement when its data fields are assembled incorrectly. Several measurements may share one message.

How to narrow it down

Confirm the number and order of the data nibbles against the sensor documentation. Then compare the decoded result with a controlled change that should move only one measurement. If two displayed channels track each other unexpectedly, revisit the field allocation before replacing anything.

What to include with the fault report

Provide the raw file, sensor identity and the conversion or decoder profile used.

A successful checksum only supports the integrity of the received message. It does not prove that a human-readable conversion uses the right units or field order.
