A repaired TCU and a repaired complete transmission are different service scopes. The paperwork should make clear which assembly was assessed and what remained on the vehicle.
Read the scope before installation
Keep the specialist’s findings, compatibility notes and required vehicle-side checks. Ask who is responsible for fluid, mechanical installation and supported setup. Do not interpret a bench communication result as proof of hydraulic or mechanical condition.
After refitting, preserve the full scan and actual shift observations. If a symptom remains, send that evidence to the relevant providers. A precise handover helps determine whether the issue concerns the repaired electronics, installation or another part of the gearbox without repeating unsupported component swaps.
