New interior lining can coincide with disturbed wiring or fittings. The installation record matters when electrical symptoms appear afterwards, although timing alone does not prove where the damage is.
Identify the work area
Provide photographs or notes showing fixings and panels fitted. Record affected lights, locks, cameras or accessories. Do not remove unknown wiring or drill further holes to investigate.
Ask the installer and workshop to coordinate a safe inspection using the vehicle’s layout. Preserve the first scan before repairs change the evidence. If a module is suspected, vehicle-side checks around the installation should be documented first so a damaged circuit is not mistaken for an internal electronics failure.
