You do not need to know which control unit is fitted before asking for help. Choose the closest symptom below, or describe the problem in your own words using our guided fault enquiry.
Battery flat or electrical functions behaving strangely
If the car fails after being parked, start with the overnight battery-drain checklist. If a garage has already tested the wiring, our continuity and voltage-drop guide explains what information makes that report useful.
Lights, windows, locks or a local device not responding
Record which functions work and which have failed. A LIN communication fault can concern a local circuit. For wider communication problems, read the CAN network introduction or browse body-control guides.
EV, hybrid or charging concerns
For a change in range, use the winter range and battery-assessment guide. For warnings, charging refusal or lost communication, browse the EV and hybrid collection. Follow any stop instruction in the vehicle handbook and arrange appropriate assistance for an unsafe vehicle.
Engine, gearbox or replacement-module questions
Use the vehicle and module finder if you know the model or part number. The repair library also includes ECU, TCU, programming and fault-code routes. A code alone does not confirm a failed module.
New battery, charging warning or a recurring fuse fault?
Start with battery replacement and registration or the smart charging guide. For repeated circuit failures, read why a fuse keeps blowing. If the problem disappears before your appointment, keep an intermittent-fault diary.
Before booking or sending a unit
Read what a diagnostic quote should include, then check the current appointment options. Garages can prepare a specialist handover report.
AXION’s workshop is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Postal module enquiries are welcome from across the UK, subject to confirming the unit and supported work before dispatch. Vehicle-dependent faults may require the complete vehicle. Contact the team to agree the next step.
