A single door that ignores central locking needs a different fault description from every door failing together. Record whether the affected door responds to the remote, an interior switch or its normal mechanical operation. Use only the procedures described in the vehicle handbook.
Identify the missing function
Does the lock make a sound, move partly or remain completely silent? Does the dashboard recognise the door as open? Include whether the window, mirror and other functions on that door work. Those observations help define the affected area without proving that a door module is defective.
Preserve the relevant history
Mention impact damage, door removal, water ingress or a previous latch replacement. Give the exact replacement part number if one was fitted. Avoid repeatedly pulling trim or disturbing wiring before the original fault has been documented.
The assessment should distinguish the command, local wiring, latch mechanism and any fitted control electronics. Ask AXION about the supported diagnostic route before buying a BCM. If the door cannot be secured or opened safely, explain that when arranging the appointment so access and vehicle movement can be planned appropriately.
