A mirror that moves partway and stops may have a different problem from one that never receives a folding command. Record whether one or both mirrors are affected and whether ordinary mirror adjustment still works. Do not force a powered mechanism against resistance.
What changed before the fault?
Include an impact, manual folding, freezing conditions or recent door work if relevant. Note noises, uneven movement and whether the mirror reaches the same stopping point. These observations describe the fault; they do not establish which internal component failed.
Compare control and physical response
The workshop should identify the equipment version and assess the command, electrical operation and mechanism together. Replacing a door module because a mirror does not fold skips that distinction. A coding question may be relevant after replacement, but compatibility must be checked first.
