An illuminated switch is not a complete test of rear-window heating. Describe whether the whole glass remains misty, only certain strips stay unclear or the function works briefly and stops. Record the conditions and how long it was enabled.
Identify what is actually affected
Mention whether other heated functions changed at the same time, but do not assume they share a fault. Include replacement glass, window-film work, tailgate repairs and visible damage already noticed. Avoid scraping the heating tracks or applying improvised electrical connections.
A useful garage report
The assessment needs the fitted circuit information and evidence of the command and electrical response. Ask for measured results and conditions rather than a statement that the switch light works. Local glass damage and a supply problem call for different repair decisions.
