When electric mode becomes unavailable around a refuelling stop, the timing is useful but does not prove the fuel itself caused an electronic fault. Keep the dashboard wording and distinguish an unavailable mode from failure to start or an engine warning.
Build a short timeline
Record whether the car was switched off during refuelling, the charge level before the stop and whether any maintenance or warning message had appeared earlier. Check the vehicle’s own explanation of mode restrictions before assuming a failed battery or inverter.
If incorrect fuel is possible, stop and obtain appropriate assistance rather than attempting further driving tests. Otherwise, give the workshop the exact sequence and any diagnostic report. Do not clear codes simply to see whether electric mode returns. An assessment should connect the restriction to recorded control conditions and vehicle-specific information, rather than replacing hybrid components based only on the moment the symptom was first noticed.
