An alignment visit followed by a stability-control warning creates a useful sequence to investigate. It does not automatically mean the steering-angle sensor needs replacing. The vehicle’s required checks and setup procedures must be identified from its own service information.
Keep both reports
Provide the alignment printout, any scan performed before or after the work and a description of the steering wheel’s position when driving straight. Explain whether tyres, steering components or suspension parts were changed at the same visit.
Calibration should follow the manufacturer’s prerequisites; using a reset to hide an unresolved geometry or installation issue is not a complete repair. Ask the workshop what the live values show and why a particular procedure is needed. If the car pulls, steers unpredictably or intervenes unexpectedly, do not continue driving to make the warning disappear. Preserve the original fault report and seek advice about safe transport where necessary.
