A reading lamp that flickers with door movement needs distinction between a local lamp fault and a changing door-status or supply condition. Record whether other interior lamps react at the same moment.
Separate movement from switch use
Does the lamp flicker when its own button is untouched, only while the door passes one position, or when the latch is operated normally? Mention recent door wiring, trim or leak repairs.
Do not bypass door switches or pull wiring while the vehicle is powered. A workshop should compare the relevant input and supply with the observed flicker. If only one lamp is affected, say so. The pattern helps determine whether to investigate a local fitting, the moving connection or the system’s command before assuming BCM failure.
