A continuity indication means the meter detected a path under its test conditions. It does not always prove that the intended wire alone provides a sound connection; other connected components may affect the result.
Establish the isolated path
A technician should use the correct circuit state and connection points specified for the test. Owners should not unplug unfamiliar systems to chase a beep. Keep the measured value and method rather than recording only pass.
If a function fails under load, the diagnostic plan may need a different measurement. Ask how the test distinguishes the intended conductor from alternative paths and whether it addresses the actual complaint. That explanation is more useful than replacing a module because a simple beep test appeared normal.
