A programming process that fails during identification or preparation is different from one interrupted while writing memory. Preserve the exact stage and message before choosing a recovery route.
Distinguish access from alteration
Keep the tool log, vehicle identification and any connection or account error. Ask the provider whether writing had actually started. Do not assume the module is corrupted simply because the overall session failed.
If the vehicle remains functional, avoid unnecessary recovery writes. The next step may concern compatibility, supported access or setup rather than internal electronics. A specialist enquiry should include the stage reached so the response is proportionate to what changed, instead of treating every programming error as a dead ECU.
