Simultaneous brake-light and cruise-control changes are useful evidence of related inputs, but the actual circuit and system logic must be checked. The radar should not be condemned solely because cruise control cancels.
Preserve the shared event
Record whether the brake pedal is untouched, whether a warning appears and whether recent pedal or electrical work was performed. Do not test cruise behaviour while filming or deliberately creating unsafe conditions.
A technician should assess the relevant brake request and status information using the correct procedure. If brake lamps are unreliable, arrange repair before normal use. The diagnostic report should explain the relationship established by testing rather than replace assistance hardware based on the feature that stopped working.
