A scan after collision repair should be interpreted with the original damage and work performed. Some records may precede the incident or relate to disconnected components during repair; others may identify current problems.
Preserve the sequence
Keep available pre-repair scans, replaced parts and setup reports. Ask which current functions were tested and which warnings remain. Do not clear all records merely to produce an empty report without understanding them.
The repairer should follow the applicable vehicle procedures, including safety-related checks. A clean scan is not a substitute for every required inspection or calibration. A specialist enquiry should explain the damage area and repair sequence so remaining electrical concerns can be assessed in context.
