An independent assessment is more useful when it receives the measurements behind the first diagnosis. A note saying ECU faulty does not show what alternatives were checked.

Keep codes, vehicle symptoms, circuit measurements and the conditions in which they were obtained. Include replaced parts and whether they changed the complaint. Avoid asking the second provider to confirm a conclusion without access to its basis.
The specialist should explain which findings it accepts, which need clarification and what additional test is justified. Disagreement alone does not prove either provider is wrong. A transparent evidence trail supports a practical next step and reduces the chance of repeating the same checks without resolving the uncertainty.
