“Jaguar XF BCM” can be an incomplete description. On the X250 reference discussed here, front and rear body-control functions involve different units. Sending the wrong one can delay the assessment without explaining the original problem.
Which unit is being discussed?
ECU Testing documents front central-junction-box and rear-junction-box concerns on specified 2010–2015 XF X250 diesel applications. Its front-module reference includes key-recognition complaints and U3000-49; the rear-module symptom group involves different rear-body functions. This is not a diagnosis for every XF generation or engine.
Ask the inspecting workshop to identify the reporting controller and part number. Do not rely solely on a housing colour or an online photograph to choose a replacement.
Give a function-by-function description
List the exact symptoms rather than writing “all electrics faulty”. For a key complaint, record the displayed message and whether a second authorised key was already checked. For lighting, locking, boot or rear-window complaints, state which functions operate and which do not.
Keep the original scan with the controller names and the complete code suffix. Include any recent water-ingress investigation, battery work or previous module replacement. These details describe the history; they do not prove the module itself has failed.
Repair and programming are separate questions
Before approving work, ask how the unit has been matched to the vehicle, what the proposed assessment includes and whether configuration or key-related work would be required afterwards. Do not assume a used unit will be ready to fit simply because the casing looks the same.
AXION can consider the BCM or authorised key-system enquiry when the vehicle and module are identified. Proof of ownership or garage authority may be needed for security-related work. This page does not provide immobiliser bypass instructions.
Send the report and existing label photographs before removing parts. We will confirm whether a vehicle visit or a suitable postal module assessment is available and what information is needed to avoid sending the wrong unit.
Sources and next steps
Send AXION your vehicle and fault details or choose an assessment. Workshop appointments are in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal module work is available by arrangement for UK enquiries. Confirm acceptance before dispatch.
