UDS negative response 0x11 means the requested service is not supported. It is a diagnostic response, not a stored vehicle fault code.

Interpreting the evidence

Check which controller and operation the tool addressed. A menu offered by a general diagnostic application may not apply to every module. Preserve the response and compare the tool’s vehicle selection with the actual hardware and software identity.

Keep this evidence

Send the operation name, target controller and complete message rather than only the hexadecimal number.

Repeated requests will not establish support. Confirm the appropriate approved procedure before treating the rejection as evidence for an ECU repair.
