A turbo actuator position signal and actual boost are different evidence

An actuator can report its position while the engine’s boost response remains abnormal. The feedback signal does not directly measure every mechanical and airflow condition affecting boost.

What to check next

Compare commanded position, reported position and engine operating data under the approved diagnostic procedure. Include the linkage and turbocharger mechanism in the assessment where relevant. This helps distinguish an actuator-control issue from another cause of an underboost or overboost complaint.

Useful information for an enquiry

Send the engine details, complete code and the conditions that produce reduced power.

Do not alter stop settings or linkage geometry to make a displayed value look correct. Matching and calibration requirements are application-specific.
