An ESP warning can lead to several different sensor names on a scan. With 01423, the reference is to lateral acceleration sensor G200. Keep that identity intact when requesting parts or discussing a diagnosis; a general description such as “stability sensor” can be ambiguous.
Two different starting points
Ross-Tech lists a missing or incorrect basic setting/adaptation variant and an electrical-circuit failure variant. Its electrical checks include connections, supply voltage and the sensor itself. Basic-setting instructions are vehicle-specific. Read the 01423 reference.
If the stored wording concerns setup, ask whether the applicable procedure was completed and what result it gave. If it concerns an electrical circuit, keep the corresponding measurement findings with the report. Repeating the same reset without recording the outcome makes the next assessment harder.
What happened before the lamp appeared?
A useful enquiry might mention interior repairs, water ingress, a battery problem or replacement electronics, if any of those actually occurred. Give the sequence in your own words. Do not add a suspected cause just because it appears in an online discussion.
Include the full ABS/ESP scan, warning text and any calibration record. If several sensors are named, send those entries too. The technician needs to see the pattern before deciding which findings belong together.
Keep the diagnosis tied to the car
The location, installation and procedures must come from the correct vehicle information. Do not move or unplug stability-system components as an experiment, or attempt driving manoeuvres to clear the warning. Follow the handbook and arrange professional assessment where needed.
