An intermittent loss of accelerator response can be described more precisely by separating pedal demand, engine response and any reduced-power warning. Stop driving and seek appropriate assistance if the vehicle cannot be controlled safely.
Preserve the complete event
Record whether the engine idles normally, whether the warning appears immediately and whether restarting changes the behaviour. Include full fault descriptions and any garage-recorded pedal or throttle data. A code naming a pedal circuit does not establish that the pedal assembly itself is defective.
Ask for a comparison, not a parts guess
The diagnostic process should compare the relevant signals and the controller’s response using vehicle-specific information. Supply, wiring, input plausibility and other system restrictions may need consideration. Do not apply external voltage or bypass a signal to test the pedal.
Send AXION the vehicle details and the circumstances of the failure. Mention recent battery, throttle, pedal or engine work. Agree whether the assessment requires the complete vehicle before posting an ECU. A useful repair report should explain which evidence identified the fault and what functional checks were completed, rather than only stating that a replacement part was fitted.
