A temperature-associated cut-out needs the shutdown and restart behaviour recorded separately. Does the engine stop suddenly, lose power first or refuse a later restart? Follow the vehicle’s safety instructions and arrange recovery if continued driving could be unsafe.
Save the conditions of the event
Include journey duration, outside temperature, whether the engine still cranks and any warning messages. Explain whether the fault recovers after a brief restart or only after a longer wait. Do not deliberately overheat the vehicle or repeatedly drive it until it stalls.
Keep electrical and mechanical possibilities open
A hot cut-out is not proof of a failed ECU or a particular sensor. The workshop needs the complete scan and relevant measurements while the fault is present. An absence of a generic fault code does not establish that the vehicle has no diagnosable problem.
Send AXION the event history and earlier garage findings. Ask how the initial assessment will approach the intermittent condition and what further observation may be needed. A controller passing a short bench test cannot reproduce every temperature, wiring and engine operating condition, so agree the vehicle-level evidence before removing the ECU.
