A system that starts cold and becomes warm later needs the elapsed time and conditions documented. Switching it off and finding it works again can be useful evidence, but it does not identify why the cooling stopped.
Keep a timed observation
Record fan speed, outside temperature, airflow strength and whether the problem affects both sides. State whether the fan still blows strongly when cooling is lost. Include any ice, unusual noise or warning observed safely.
The workshop may need a longer controlled test than a quick startup check. Do not request a refrigerant top-up without diagnosis. An appropriate assessment distinguishes airflow, temperature control and refrigeration behaviour, then verifies the result over conditions representative of the original twenty-minute complaint.
