Unexpected boot release should be investigated without assuming that the body module is randomly commanding it. Accidental key-button pressure, user settings and supported hands-free features are among the circumstances worth documenting before hardware diagnosis.
Record the context
Note whether the key was in a tight pocket or bag, whether someone passed near the rear of the vehicle and whether the car was locked. State whether it happens with both keys and whether the boot fully powers open or only unlatches.
Review the owner’s settings and normal control instructions. Do not disable wiring or safety functions to prevent recurrence. If the boot cannot remain securely latched, seek assessment before driving. For the workshop, include key condition, recent tailgate work and any warning. A clearly described sequence helps distinguish an unintended user input from a latch, switch or control fault that requires electrical or mechanical investigation.
