An alarm that sounds without an obvious trigger needs an event history. Record the time, parking location, weather and whether anyone or anything was near the vehicle. Do not assume that every alarm event is caused by the key or the main control unit.
Identify the actual alarm behaviour
Did the siren sound, did the hazard lights flash, and was a message shown on unlocking? Note whether the car was locked normally and whether windows or the tailgate were left in a different state. Consult the handbook for approved transport or interior-monitoring settings if relevant.
Preserve recorded triggers
If a garage can read the system’s trigger history, retain it before clearing faults or disconnecting the battery. The recorded trigger and the customer’s observations should be compared. A stored door or bonnet event requires investigation; it is not automatically proof of a defective sensor.
Send AXION the vehicle details and a short diary. Mention recent battery, accessory or body work. Avoid disabling security equipment as a permanent workaround.
