An unexplained chime can come from different systems, including connected accessories. Record when it occurs and what the vehicle is doing before assuming the instrument cluster is generating a false alarm.
Look for a repeatable trigger
Note speed, door status, seat occupancy, navigation use and connected phones. Check the owner’s description of warning sounds and message history where available. Do not disable safety reminders to silence an unidentified warning.
A safe passenger observation or stationary reproduction can help. If a serious warning appears briefly, preserve its exact wording. The workshop needs to identify the source and request behind the sound, not simply replace the loudspeaker. Include recent accessory installations that might produce a separate alert.
