A displayed range figure is an estimate, not a direct laboratory capacity measurement. When it changes after a software update, retain the software version and compare actual use before deciding that the battery has suddenly lost the same proportion of capacity.
Compare several pieces of evidence
Record charge percentage, energy added where available, route, temperature and heating use. Distinguish a different prediction at departure from genuinely shorter usable travel under comparable conditions. Include any release notes or vehicle messages that explain altered displays or settings.
Check charge limits and user preferences through the normal controls because an update may coincide with changed settings. Do not attempt an unofficial rollback to restore an old number. If reduced usable range or warnings persist, send the timeline and charging records for assessment. The workshop should explain which checks can evaluate the complaint and which conclusions the available data cannot support.
