A displayed valve command does not establish that the intended fluid route changed. The mechanism, feedback and actual thermal response need to be assessed using the correct system information.
Record the relevant measurements
Keep parameter labels, operating state and elapsed time. Temperatures may not respond immediately, so the test duration matters. Include recent coolant or valve work and any procedure used afterwards.
Do not command unfamiliar valves repeatedly or open a hot circuit. A specialist should explain whether the evidence concerns control, movement, circulation or sensor interpretation. The repair recommendation should connect the observed response to the original heating or charging complaint rather than rely on a command value alone.
