If manual wiping works and automatic wiping does not, document those functions separately. Confirm from the handbook that the selected control position is actually automatic mode and note any sensitivity setting. The working motor is useful context, but it does not diagnose the complete automatic system.
Include the windscreen history
Tell the workshop about windscreen replacement, film, repairs or work around the sensor area. Describe whether automatic lights or other nearby functions changed too. Do not remove or reposition a sensor based on a generic online procedure.
Compare request and response
The technician needs to identify the fitted sensor and control arrangement and establish whether the relevant signals are plausible. A sensor-related fault code should be retained with its exact description. It does not by itself prove that the sensor rather than its installation or circuit needs replacement.
For AXION, provide the vehicle details and the results in manual and automatic modes. Agree the diagnostic scope before purchasing a rain sensor or BCM. If wiping cannot provide safe visibility, stop and arrange assistance instead of continuing to drive while attempting to reproduce the fault.
