ISO-TP wait frames are different from a complete rejection

A transport exchange can include a request to wait rather than continue immediately. That needs to be distinguished from a final refusal or from no response.

How to narrow it down

Review the sequence and timing of wait indications and the tool’s resulting error. Check whether the operation eventually progressed or exceeded its permitted waiting behaviour. A technician needs the whole exchange to identify the stage that failed.

What to include with the fault report

Send the raw log and the exact diagnostic job, including whether it was a read or a programming operation.

Repeatedly restarting the job can remove useful context. Preserve the original attempt before changing the setup.

Speak to AXION

For CAN-bus and vehicle-network diagnostics, send your vehicle details and fault report. Workshop assessment is in Didcot, Oxfordshire. Suitable postal or remote work is confirmed before booking.

Technical background from the project maintainers. The referenced design explains the principle; the vehicle-specific procedure determines the repair.
