Agree the handover details
Ask which labels, reports and supported backups are required and what the exchange includes. Confirm compatibility through the provider rather than physical appearance. Do not assume the original can be recovered later if it has been surrendered under agreed terms.
Keep the written scope and return requirements. If the vehicle’s diagnosis is uncertain, discuss that before committing to exchange. The installing garage needs to know what setup and vehicle-side checks remain, so the exchange is not mistaken for a complete whole-vehicle repair.
