If an ARIYA feels noticeably less responsive and shows a power warning, read the accompanying message before deciding what has failed. The indicator describes a restriction in available power; it does not identify one replacement part.
Several conditions can trigger a restriction
Nissan’s 2024 UK manual lists very low battery charge, a very cold battery, high EV-system temperature and a system malfunction among the conditions associated with the power-limitation indicator. It says to follow any accompanying display instructions and seek attention if the warning remains or occurs outside the described conditions.
The reduced performance matters in traffic. If the vehicle cannot maintain a safe speed, pull over somewhere safe and arrange assistance. Do not continue a journey merely to see whether an alert becomes more specific.
Describe the circumstances
Write down whether the message appeared immediately after starting, during a climb, after charging or at another point. Add the displayed charge level and the other warning messages. A photograph taken once safely parked can preserve details that are easy to forget later.
Say if the warning disappeared and whether that followed charging, a period parked or a workshop visit. A warning that has cleared is still part of the history; it should not be described as though no problem occurred.
Give the garage the whole scan
The useful report includes the controller names and full fault descriptions. A statement that the battery has a code is too broad to distinguish battery management, cooling, drive electronics or another issue.
If work has already been proposed, ask which findings support it and whether the quote covers diagnosis or a completed repair. Keep the original report with the quotation so another workshop can understand the reasoning without starting from a fragment of a conversation.
Send AXION the ARIYA warning and scan for a supported EV diagnostic enquiry. Include whether the vehicle can be moved safely or needs transport. High-voltage inspection is workshop work; there is no need to remove covers or inspect orange cables before contacting us.
