Two rear-body functions failing at the same time deserve one combined report. State whether the failures were simultaneous and whether other tailgate functions still operate. A shared location is a reason to inspect the relevant installation, not proof of one universal wiring fault.
Preserve the circumstances
Include tailgate movement, recent body repairs, accessory installations and any known water ingress. Note whether opening the tailgate changes the behaviour during normal use. Do not repeatedly flex a damaged harness or expose wiring to create a fault.
What the workshop should identify
The circuit diagram determines whether the affected functions share supplies, connections or control equipment. That information must be checked for the exact vehicle. A camera fault and a lighting fault can also be independent, so the assessment should test the relationship rather than assume it.
