ODIS enquiries for Volkswagen Group EVs and hybrids

AXION Automotive

An EV or plug-in hybrid with a warning may need diagnosis, physical repair, software work or a combination of them. Explain the actual complaint before requesting an update. Include the exact model and year rather than simply saying “electric Volkswagen” or “Audi hybrid”.

Describe what the vehicle will do

  • Does the vehicle become READY?
  • Is the issue with AC charging, DC charging or both, where already known?
  • What warning text appears, and when?
  • Was a module, battery-related component or another part recently replaced?

Send the full scan and available module identification. Keep the original wording of faults instead of replacing it with a generic code definition from another model. Tell AXION about previous work and any manufacturer instruction your garage is following.

Remote programming has a defined scope

We assess whether the requested ODIS operation is supported for the exact vehicle, module and access available. The presence of an ODIS function does not establish that a software change is the right repair for a particular charging or isolation complaint.

The workshop with the vehicle must provide the appropriate equipment and competent personnel. A remote session is not permission to open a high-voltage component, bypass an interlock or work on an energised system. Physical high-voltage work requires the correct qualified assessment and procedure.

Check existing support before booking

If a manufacturer campaign or warranty may apply, check it using the vehicle details. Historical overseas documents do not establish current UK eligibility. Keep the final session report and agree any remaining diagnosis or repair before considering the job complete.

Ask AXION about the next step

Our ODIS online programming and VAG coding service includes remote technician sessions at £100 per hour for agreed, supported tasks. Send the details before booking. We confirm suitability, expected time and any additional costs before work starts.
