A scanner description containing “battery energy control” does not necessarily identify an electric-drive battery. The Bentayga W12 provides a useful example of why the reporting controller and vehicle equipment must be recorded together.
A manufacturer-specific example
Bentley technical information 2051553/1 addresses a dynamic-ride warning on specified Bentayga W12 vehicles. It discusses the supercapacitor controller and P0A1F00, with possible companion entries P0A9E00, P0AC800 and P0ECA00. The document limits the proposed update by vehicle and component identification. This is a bulletin review, not an AXION customer repair story. It is also not a reason to apply the same update to every vehicle displaying P0A1F.
What to send with the enquiry
Include the VIN privately with the workshop, the full controller identification, software version and complete scan. Photograph the dashboard wording while safely parked. Record any suspension, battery-system or programming work already completed.
Ask the technician to check the latest applicable manufacturer information rather than treating an older bulletin as the final instruction. A matching code without the required component identity is not a complete applicability check.
Agree the programming scope first
Do not attempt an unrelated coding or update routine to clear the warning. Contact AXION about the 48-volt electronics concern so support and the assessment route can be confirmed. Keep the original unit and its data history until the job is agreed.
